Noid mold
This is how I used to make Noid molds if I wanted to cast them in foam latex. It's an ultra cal (plaster) mold that has been painted on the inside before the foam was injected into it. This Noid and mold is long gone because it was done in the mid 80's and I don't know what ever became of it.
Sorry I haven't been around. This post is great I love seeing the behind the scenes pics for the Noid they are just fantastic! So is that just paint in the mold that we see in the pic or is there an actual puppet in there? Thanks Tony - M Flem Jr
Hey Mike, That's an actual foam puppet in there right after I removed the front half of the two piece plaster mold. Noids were never made out of foam for animation purposes. This is one that I did in my spare time to explore the possibility of switching to a foam latex puppet instead of clay.
