Santa Claus
I took time out to do an oil painting of Santa Claus.
18" X 24" oil on canvas.
Hands are interesting. In this case they had to look tough enough to pull the reins on a sleigh and skilled enough to detail the finest toys.

Thanks, I got this guy to pose outside of the mall while he was on his break. He said "sure let me go take a leak and I'll get my hat" he stood there acting like he was painting this figurine that I had brought with me. As it turns out he owned a motel near Will Vinton studios back in the 80's. Small world.
Ha! good story and great painting.
